About Us
Chester County Mowing is locally owned and focused on providing quality and dependable lawn mowing and trimming services to the residents within the Coatesville, Downingtown, and surrounding areas.
Our services are basic and include grass cutting and string trimming.
Requests by property owner such as cutting height and frequency will be honored.
As homeowner’s ourselves, we strive to be efficient yet respectful of your property at all times.
We will not cut in the rain or muddy conditions in order to preserve the health of the customer’s property.
When we arrive at your home on your mowing day(s), we expect that you will have already removed all objects from your lawn including garden hoses, toys, spouting, and all other obstacles.
Any animals or pets must be secured before lawn mowing or maintenance can begin.
We bill our customers monthly, payment is due within 15 days of billing date.
Cash, checks or money orders are acceptable forms of payment. NO credit cards will be accepted.
Payment upon completion of weekly service is desired and appreciated.
In the event monthy payment is past due, all services will be discontinued until payment is made.
All estimates will require a visual inspection of site.

Our Mowing Practices
- Chester County Mowing fully practices the sustainable horticultural practices of the 1/3 cut rule, the mulching of clippings and the maintaining of optimum grass height.
- With each service we trim the lawn, edge the sidewalks and curbs and blow off the driveway and walkways.
- We mow your lawn at the optimum grass height of 3 inches in the spring and fall, 3 ˝ – 4 inches in the summer. In order to maintain this optimum height, we adjust our mowing frequency between 4–7 day cycles (or if needed, we will skip a week) so to never scalp or over stress the lawn.
- In keeping with sustainable practices, we normally mulch in the grass clippings. But, we will catch and haul them away if desired.
- We reserve the right to vary these procedures in order to sustain the health of the soil and lawn.
- Although we are very consiencious and careful when mowing your lawn, we are not responsible for any damages such as sprinkler heads and other objects or materials.
Additional Charges May Apply
- We will catch and haul away clippings and leaves, if desired. An additional charge of $10 per garbage can of yard waste will be added to that day’s invoice.
- An additional charge may apply if the lawn is not free of obstacles and requires our time to frequently stop work and remove obstacles from your lawn.
- If you decide to skip a weekly scheduled mowing day, the following scheduled mowing service charge may be twice the normal mowing charge depending on the condition of the lawn.
- Other lawn maintenance type work will be considered and estimated as needed and according to our availability.

The equiment we use on your lawn is the same type of equipment we use on our lawn.
We do not use over sized machines that may do more damage to your lawn than good.
and
We do not mow your lawn immediately after significant rain creating mower wheel ruts and ditches in your lawn.
